Solution of RFID Application in textile and spinning industry

With the increasingly fierce market competition, it is very important for textile and spinning enterprises to improve production efficiency and reduce operating costs. At present, ERP / MES management systems usually use barcode labels or manual document management to support their own management methods. However, the characteristics of bar code such as easy to copy, non antifouling, non moisture-proof and cumbersome operation, as well as the cumbersome nature of manual document writing, are easy to cause man-made losses, which makes there always exist defects in domestic production and warehouse management.

The application of radio frequency identification (RFID), the latest scientific and technological product, can fundamentally solve the above problems. Based on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, Hangzhou Dongzhi technology provides customers with RFID material tracking system scheme for textile and spinning industry according to the actual situation and demand in production and warehouse management of spinning industry.

What is RFID?

RFID is the abbreviation of radio frequency identification, namely radio frequency identification. It is a non-contact automatic identification technology. RFID can be traced back to the Second World War (about 1940). At that time, its main function was to distinguish the enemy from the British aircraft. In recent years, with the development of large-scale integrated circuit, network communication, information security and other technologies, as well as the promotion of Wal Mart and the U.S. Department of defense, RFID has been rapidly applied to smart grid, transportation, logistics industry, medical and health care, fine agriculture and animal husbandry, finance and service industry, industry and automatic control, smart home, environment and safety detection public security, national defense and military, smart city and other industries and fields.
RFID is to automatically identify the target object and obtain relevant data through RF signal. It is mainly composed of electronic tag, reader and antenna. Tags are composed of coupling elements (also known as antennas) and chips. Each tag has a unique electronic code (EPC). The chip can store specific serial numbers and other information. The reader is the bridge between the tag and the software system. On the one hand, it reads the tag information, on the other hand, it communicates the reading results with the software system. The antenna exists in the tag and reader and is responsible for the data transmission task from the tag chip to the reader and then to the software system.
RFID technology is divided into low frequency, high frequency, ultra-high frequency and active according to frequency band. RFID technology has the characteristics of non-contact, fast scanning, high identification efficiency, not easy to damage, suitable for harsh environment, convenient operation, fast reading and writing speed, large amount of information storage, multi-purpose one card, anti-collision, good security encryption performance, reusability, tracking and positioning, etc.
Application of RFID technology in textile industry
By using RFID technology, the process management of raw materials and material circulation is realized in the warehouse and production management process of textile and spinning industry, and the accuracy of ERP / MES system data is provided. The main objectives are as follows:
① Improve the timeliness and accuracy of ERP / MES data
Many links of traditional management adopt manual registration, which is easy to make mistakes; Due to the manual failure to register in time, the data of ERP / MES system is not accurate enough.
② Automatically collect data to improve work efficiency
Automatic data collection in the process of entering and leaving the warehouse to improve production efficiency.
③ Provide decision analysis basis for leaders

Data can be analyzed online or reports can be generated for leaders’ decision-making and analysis.

System management

Raw material management

RFID is used to collect the incoming and outgoing management status of raw materials in the warehouse and accurately manage the raw material inventory.

Carding and drawing

An RFID reader is installed on the track. When a strip bucket passes through, collect the strip bucket information and transmit it to the background system to track the production process. If the strip bucket is placed in the wrong position during the production process, the system will automatically remind.

Before the roving enters the machine, the roving information is automatically collected and transmitted to the background to control the roving in the production process in real time.

Before the roving leaves the machine, the roving information is automatically collected and transmitted to the background to control the roving in the production process in real time.

RFID tag

Technical parameters of RFID radio frequency electronic tag

The technical parameters of electronic tags mainly include the energy requirements of tag activation, the reading and writing speed of tag information, the transmission rate of tag information, the capacity of tag information, the packaging size of tag, the reading and writing distance of tag, the reliability of tag, the working frequency of tag and the price of tag.
1. Energy requirements for tag activation
When the electronic tag enters the working area of the reader, it will enter the working state after receiving the encouragement of RF signal sent by the reader. The activation energy of the tag refers to the energy range required to activate the chip circuit of the electronic tag, which requires that the electronic tag is within a certain distance from the reader, and the reader can provide sufficient RF field strength of the electronic tag.
2. Reading and writing speed of tag information
The reading and writing speed of the tag includes reading speed and writing speed. The reading speed refers to the speed at which the electronic tag is read by the reader and writer, and the writing speed refers to the writing speed of the electronic tag information. Generally, the reading and writing speed of the tag information is required to be milliseconds.
3. Transfer rate of tag information
The transmission rate of tag information includes two aspects: on the one hand, the transmission rate of the data carried by the electronic tag fed back to the reader and writer, and on the other hand, the rate of writing data commands from the reader and writer.
4. Capacity of label information
The capacity of tag information refers to the amount of memory carried by the electronic tag for writing data. The size of label information capacity is related to whether the electronic label is “foreground” or “background”.
“Background” type electronic tag: after the “background” type electronic tag collects data through the reader / writer, it can be connected with the computer database through the network. Therefore, generally speaking, as long as the memory of the electronic tag has 200 bits, it can accommodate the coding of articles. If you need more detailed information about the item, you need to provide it through the background database.
“Foreground” type electronic tag: in actual use, the site is sometimes difficult to connect with the database. At this time, the memory of the electronic tag must be increased, such as thousands to tens of thousands, so that the electronic tag can be used independently without checking the database information. This kind of electronic tag can be called “foreground” type electronic tag. However, when selecting the “front desk” electronic tag, it should be noted that generally speaking, the larger the memory, the longer the reading time. This electronic tag can be used only when those time factors are not very important, but the more detailed information of the item must be known at that time.
5. Package size of label
The package size of the label mainly depends on the size of the antenna and power supply. There are different requirements for the package size in different occasions. The small package size is millimeter level and the large one is decimeter level.
If the size of the electronic tag is small, its application range is wide, and it can be set for both large and small items. However, blindly pursuing small size is not a good thing. If the electronic tag is designed to be large, the size of the antenna can be increased, so it can effectively improve the reading rate of the electronic tag.
6. Reading and writing distance of label
The reading and writing distance of the tag refers to the working distance between the tag and the reader. The reading and writing distance of the tag is mm near and more than 10m far. In addition, the read distance and write distance of most systems are different, and the write distance is about 40% ~ 80% of the read distance.
7. Reliability of labels
The reliability of the tag is related to the working environment, size, material, quality, distance between the tag and the reader. For example, on a conveyor belt, when the label is exposed and read individually, the accuracy of reading is close to 100%. However, many factors may reduce the reliability of label reading and writing. The more labels are read at the same time, the faster the label moves, and the more likely it is to be misread or missed.
A survey in an application shows that when 10000 electronic tags are used, 60 electronic tags are damaged in a year, and the proportion of damage is less than 0.1%. In order to prevent the inconvenience caused by the damage of the electronic label, the common use of the bar code and the electronic label is an effective remedy, so that an electronic label can be quickly copied according to the information recorded in the bar code. In addition, it is also a method to put two electronic labels on an item in case, but the disadvantage of doing so is the high cost.
8. Operating frequency of label
The working frequency of electronic tag refers to the frequency used when the tag works, which are low frequency, high frequency and microwave frequency respectively.
9. Tag price
At present, the price of a large order of some electronic labels is less than 30 cents. When the number of electronic labels is 1 billion, the economies of scale will greatly reduce the price of electronic labels. Many companies hope that each electronic label will be less than 5 cents in the future. The price of smart electronic tags is high, generally more than $1.
